Executive Board Election Information

The Executive Board Election for the vacant Retiree At-Large and At- Large positions will take place online from November 13-20th. Please click here to see the announcement.  The  self-nomination period  runs from September 18 - October 2, 2015. Self-nomination forms are available by clicking here. You may also obtain one through an Association Rep in your building or at the SEA office. All self-nomination forms MUST be received at the SEA office no later than 5:00 P.M.  on Friday, October 2, 2015. A list of the candidates and bios will be posted in each building from October 7 through November 12, 2015.




Bio’s for the Executive Board November 2015 Election


Dave Tilley- At-Large Member

  • 20 year teacher
  • Served as building rep over 10 years
  • Served on E Board last year and part of the year before
  • Believe in strong union
  • Want to continue to work to help strengthen our union and protect all members’ rights

  Andrew Willis- At- Large Member

I’ve been a member of the Legislative Board for 3 years. I’m a member of the Bylaws Committee and the Organizing Committee. I’ve represented the SEA at MTA Annual Meetings and NEA Representative Assemblies. I was a Senate District Coordinator and was nominated to the NEA-RA at the state level.

 Stephanie Greenberg- At-Large Member

I have been teaching in Springfield for 11 years. Currently, I am on the Grievance and Professional Development Committees. I became a union rep to better support the teachers when they are in need of guidance. I want to continue to get more involved in the union for all teachers.

Gisella I. Grimaldi- At-Large Member

I would like to be on the E-board because I have been a building rep for 10 yrs. I actively participate at meetings, have gone to MTA state meetings and am currently on the by-laws committee. I have also been a teacher in Springfield for 10 yrs and want to be active.

 Arlindo M. Alves- Retired At-Large Member

I retired in 2014 after 37 years of teaching. During that time I served as a Building Rep, on the E- Board, the Bargaining Team, Grievance Chair, and the Professional Relations Associate for 8 Years. I appreciate your vote so I may continue to serve the teachers of Springfield.
